SEX...AND MO SEX...I LIKE IT....I NEED IT

Here's a sneak peek at the new film sent to me by Dstroy of RSC/Arsonists fam. It is being produced by Mr. Complex

THE STORY

DAVID is the last romantic guy in New York who collects 90's memorabilia. He is devastated when his fiancĂ© who is sleeping with every guy in the city dumps him to pursue a career as a TV dance show contestant. Fed up he starts "phone fishing"; leaving cell phones in bars near hot women and then calling the phone pretending it is lost and sets off dating adventures. David’s looking for love but finds ladies with vicious pit bulls, a dominatrix into aerial acrobatics, a sexy drug dealing gangster, cross dressing thugs and a woman in a Catwoman suit. He is infatuated with his gorgeous coworker and barely avoids getting shot by her jealous fiancĂ©.

When his ex returns to him, David must decide if he wants to continue the ladies man act or accept that she may be the only person who has the love he’s been longing for.

Kool_Keith-Who's_The_Man-VIDEO-2012-UC

I've never been a huge fan of Kool Keith and all his pseudonyms after the Ultramag years, but I had to post this video because anything that focuses on graffiti is cool with me. This is actually one of the better songs that I've heard as of recent from Dr. Doom.

M.A.S.K-Make_The_Sound_feat._Rhymefest_(prod._by_DJ_Premier)-CDS-2012-UC

Even though 2Pac‘s former original running mates Digital Underground disbanded back in 2008, that hasn’t stopped former member Money B from actively making music. Recently, Money hooked up with Milwaukee native Scott Knoxx to form the group M*A*S*K, and having spent most of the year locked in the lab, the duo came out for some air back in July to release their first single, “Living In The Sky.”

Now, just over a month later, Money and Knoxx return to the surface to liberate a brand new recording entitled “Make The Sound,” which is produced by legendary beatsmith DJ Premier, and features Chi-Town emcee/activist Rhymefest. Listen to M*A*S*K as they continue to “restore Hip Hop since 1989″ down below, and stay tuned for their upcoming album, Stuntin’ In A Recession.

More dumb shit from the overly drugged up DN. I love that these guys really don't give a fuck and just do dumb shit, they were the first. Sometimes it does get annoying and old though. We even got a few wannabe copycats in the area. I'd much rather see a video with just Dirt... These other two goofs do absolutely nothing for me.

The_Good_Life_X_Ricky_Powell-Uncle_Sloppys_Zooted_Lay_Up_Line_Mixtape-2012-UC

The Good Life, DJ Smoke LES, and R. Powell drop their third installment, shitting on heads like pigeons in the parks of NYC. This is the real cover BTW. Another great listen that actually would've been family friendly if The Rickster wasn't being his usual self and dropping bombs throughout. A must listen.

Yak_Ballz-Gas_Galaxy-2012-Y@K

Y@k Ballz finally releases the album that has been in the works for 2 1/2 years +. This dropped almost a week ago today to the date. Y@k has been my peoples since college and I had to show him some love. This album is Y@k similar from what we heard on the Scifentology releases. He is experimenting with new directions in sound due to his recent influences such as: Lupe Fiasco, Kid Cudi, and we can't forget his close friend El-P. All of the production is done by Y@k and Chapter 7, this album was well worth the wait. After slowly leaking out track after track for over a year, he decided to let loose the rest to the project for free. Y@k has started getting his feet wet by producing more and I can't say that I haven't been enjoying it. To stay current on what's happening with Y@k and the rest of his camp, hit up his website.

CANNON BALLIN

-DJ_Premier-Speaking_On_Illmatic-FATBEATS-

Today is an important day in Hip Hop music. One of the all time great albums that seems to be included in everyone's top ten list dropped 20 years ago today. Nas' Illmatic took the world by storm as he teamed with the hottest underground producers an released a masterpiece. He unleashed a new style of emceeing that still to this day can not be duplicated. If I could choose one classic hip hop icon to get on one of my tracks, this would be my answer. With the release of "The Elmatic Instrumentals," DJ Premier took some time to check out the new interpretations of some of his classic productions, as covered by Detroit band Will Sessions. After explaining the background behind the beat for "Memory Lane," he's predictably impressed with the new instrumental versions for "Represent" and "Detroit State of Mind." Maybe if we are all lucky Nas will record a mixtape version of Illmatic over these. Nahyo, we aren't getting that lucky. Buy this on vinyl and step you DJ game up dun.

Ras_Kass_x_Doc_Hollywood-Spit_No_Evil-2012-UC

I've been waiting to hear some new Ras Kass and now the wait is finally over. Ras links up with LinkLouie Rubio and Doc Hollywood for this 14 track disc. The production is a serious threat to some of these new jack producers. They also bring in Dirt Nasty and Kat Graham for a crazy track as well as a new take on ATCQ's Electric Relaxation. You can always expect a few things with Ras Kassalino... dope verses, great delivery, and blunt content. He always has a clever way to make a joke out of something so serious. I've been a fan of his since jumpstreet and he has yet to disappoint me.

Mick_Boogie_X_Slum_Village-The_Dirty_Slums-2012-MB

Mick Boogie flips up some dope Slum Vill joints on this latest release. This dropped a few weeks ago, I just haven't posted anything in a bit and just wanted you to have it if you didn't. It's a great mixtape for any Slum Village fan or collector of Mick Boogie's timelessness. I will have the new Mick Boog Beastie Boys flip on here the day it drops. Heck, it may even be before some of those other sites we won't name right now.

Prince_Ali-SP1200_EP-2012-UC

This is the most recent joint from Prince Ali reppin Toronto, entirely produced on the SP1200. There is a track where he shouts out Pete Rock and I'm not sure if he produced a track on here, or if Ali was just shouting him out. It doesn't really matter, because either way the song is dope. The great thing about this little project is that all of the features have similar styles. So you kinda know what you are going to get, but there is still a surprise element to it. Oddisee, Kev Brown, and Emilio Rojas are linked into a few songs and help the album ride. Listen to me, now I'm sounding like a wack Anthony Bourdain rap album review guy. Only I'm not eating Bison Tit Bruschetta and drinking Emu Flavored Flemonade.

The new Bumpy Knuckles/ DJ Premier collab drops this coming Tuesday. It's been a long wait for the album, and I can tell you it was totally worth the wait. I've had an advance copy of the Kolexxxion LP for some time now and it is getting a ton of spin in my Iphone. Support that real grit and pre order the album here. I couldn't help myself and had to post this little preview. Also know that the song 'BAP', the first single off the album was made for Jay-Z's Blueprint 3, but was sent in too late. I wish I had those problems as a producer, damn. Enjoy.

Sean_Born-Behind_The_Scale-2012-UC

Mello Music Group dropped the new Sean Born album recently. Mostly produced by Kev Brown, with additional beats by Oddessy and Kenwood. Overall, Behind The Scale channels Raekwon’s classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx as a captivating saga centered on three main topics: drugs, crime, and violence. The varied production plays a major role in Born’s success, but his offbeat flow is a flawless centerpiece for the menacing soundtrack.

Fresh off the press is this mixtape by Wop and Asia. I haven't even listened to it yet, but knowing these two from past releases will prove that this is probably dopeness. I wasn't too crazy about the CD he dropped over the Madlib beats. I thought, If you are connected with them, why wouldn't you just take unreleased Lib beats and drop something? I love hearing new verses, but not when it's over beats from over a year ago that have already been released.

WE STILL DIGGIN.... even videos.

SOMETHING OLD:
SEE THEM FAM-A-LAM FREE STYLES

I was playin on the computer and hit up youtube, so I decided to give you a taste of what Real Hip-Hop used to be. This was around the time that Yak was living on campus at Oneonta, and we were tipping back full bottles of Henny spinning the breaks in his boy Surreal's room, before my radio shows. Cage was currently working on "Movies for the Blind", and Copywrite was receiving kudos for "The High Exaulted" LP. I wonder why we don't see this happen anymore????...I Know why, because people want to abuse thier multitrack recorders and act like it was all in one breath. Whatever you choose, remember that this is how it all started...no notebooks, although you know it was written. It still took some serious time to memorize. Or did it? Maybe not. The lines are dope enough to remember themselves. Enjoy this 10 min banger and keep hittin' that "do over button". BTW, I LOVE NERD RAP.

SOMETHING NEW:
BEEF...IT'S WHAT"S WITH HIP HOP.

Here's Dame Dash's take on the Jay-Z and Jim Jones Beef. The two are labelmates and this shit has been going on for some time now. Good luck fixing this, "yungfreshtadef".

PART 2.

..and you know, PRIMO GOT SOMETHING TO SAY.

Ludacris and Primo working on the new album that just dropped. Take notes, this is how you should be brainstorming. Naturally. Later on then.
