We've been gone for more than a minute, but don't want to get your hopes up. We don't plan on coming back. So just get that dumb as shit idea out of your head. I just wanted to leave you all an actual farewell post, not something dated. Since the last post, I've been hella buzy with life, music, and a new company. Long story short, I've missed you guys, and the notion of a Wale album being my last post was hanging over my head and really fucking haunted me. Like a dream that you keep having over and over again where you cant figure out how you got a college degree when you skipped that one class the entire semester. The love for the music has taken a sidecar to the love of having more free time to do other cool shit. If you know me personally you already know I'm still working on the cool shit. Good home cooking takes time and when the planets finally align the light will be bright enough for you all to see. Especially if you aren't looking for it. doing a mixtape consisting of Japanese records. B, E and
myself had all been on ridiculous digging missions together
before and they had known that I had lost my mind in japan a
couple times copping Japanese joints… so this idea made
perfect sense… this mix contains a lot of tv and movie
soundtracks and scores, studio background music, anime
soundtracks, funk, pop, rock & soul with the common thread

Here's a video I just stumbled across of the homie Sev and his band Goldtooth rocking the Say Peace joint I produced for him live. I always love to see stuff like this and see people's reactions to the music I produce. As for seeing it live, that's a whole other element everyone should have the chance to enjoy. Goldtooth kills this song whenever they play it, and Sev has been coming correct for years.

PLUG ONE PLUG TWO

So for the past couple weeks I've been filling in spinning on my friend, Dee Jay Tone's radio show and having a blast doing it. My brother and I had a conversation recently about how I don't get out to promote enough. This week I will be spinning for Lofi Lobo and Tone, which means that for the whole block this Friday from 10pm-2am, your boy will be blessing the tables. Lobo's show The Capital Coup showcases the vast array of music coming out of the 518. I will keep with the show's format, but while doing that I will be playing some extremely rare unreleased tracks from the early 518 days and current non released material, live blends, freestyles and remixes. You will not hear the majority of this music anywhere else. Lobo and myself have been working on trying to schedule this for a long time and the time has finally come.
